Porto continue preparing for the home match against Benfica, scheduled for Sunday at 8:30 PM at the Estádio do Dragão, but coach Francesco Farioli has seven players on the injury list just days before the derby. After a day off, the dragons returned to training on Tuesday, while the Eagles head to Italy for their Europa League debut.
Victor Froholdt and Oskar Pietuszewski are racing against time to recover in time for the clash against the Eagles. João Costa underwent treatment, while Zaidu split his work between treatment and the gym. Vasco Sousa and André Miranda completed modified training.
Samu continues recovering from a serious injury, also remaining under observation by the technical team. The blue and white medical department thus has plenty of work ahead given this scenario with multiple injuries.
Faced with the seven injuries, Farioli counted on six players from the B team in the training session. Gonçalo Ribeiro and Antoni Nikolov were the goalkeepers called up, while Luís Gomes also attended the main team's training.
