Inflation in Angola decelerated again in August, maintaining the single-digit trajectory that had already been observed in previous months. The National Consumer Price Index registered a variation of 8.78% in August 2026 when compared to the same period last year.
This value represents a deceleration of 0.55 percentage points compared to the previous month, demonstrating a continuation of the trend towards decreasing the inflationary pace in the country.
Compared to the same period in 2025, inflation registered an even more significant drop, with a difference of 10.09 percentage points, which shows a substantial reduction in inflationary pressure over the past year.
