Midfielder Inbeom Hwang was called up by the South Korea national team for a set of friendly matches, after completing his first seven games for FC Porto.
The South Korean player, who transferred to the Portuguese club during the transfer window, impressed in his early performances, which is believed to have contributed to the call-up by the national team coach.
Hwang's call-up represents recognition of his good start to the season in European football, after leaving his home country to play in the Portuguese league.
