The Spanish Council of Ministers approved this Tuesday the Airport Regulation Document (DORA) for the period 2027-2031, which includes a record investment of 13 billion euros in the country's airports.
The Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Óscar Puente, stated that this plan represents "one of the largest investment and transformation processes" of the airport network managed by Aena.
The document establishes the rules and conditions for regulating Spanish airports over the next five years, including priority investments and service quality targets.
This massive investment comes in a context of recovery in the aviation sector after the pandemic and continuous growth in air traffic in Spain, which positions the country as one of the main European hubs.
