The mayor of Felgueiras met last Thursday with the Secretary of State for Justice, Ana Luísa Machado, to advocate for the requalification of the Felgueiras Court building and the strengthening of its functions.
During the meeting, the mayor highlighted that Felgueiras deserves a Court worthy of the size, growth, and needs of the municipality, calling for better conditions for Felgueiras residents, magistrates, staff, and all professionals who use the facility.
The municipality also advocated for the strengthening of existing judicial functions, considering that a local and quality response in the area of Justice is essential for a territory with the economic and demographic relevance of Felgueiras.
The Municipal Council guarantees that it will continue to follow up this process with the Government, advocating for a concrete solution that allows for enhancing the Felgueiras Court and reinforcing the municipality's centrality in the region.
