PT candidate for Governor of the Federal District, Leandro Grass, participated on Tuesday (15th) in a debate promoted by CBN and the newspapers O Globo and Valor Econômico. During the interview, he focused his criticism on Governor Celina Leão's administration and presented proposals for areas such as the economy, health, public transportation, security, and housing.
One of the main topics of the debate was the BRB crisis. Grass stated his intention to keep the public bank and ruled out privatization as a solution to the institution's financial problems. According to him, privatization would only be considered as a last resort.
The candidate defended opening negotiations with the Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank, and the Credit Guarantee Fund (FGC) to seek recovery alternatives for the bank. He explained that he intends to gather these entities at a common table to find a way forward that allows for BRB's recovery.
