Teia D'Impulsos concluded on September 11 the 9th edition of FICA – Inclusive Holidays for the Algarvian Community, a project that has been running since 2018 and provides children, young people and adults with functional diversity with experiences and moments of social interaction during the summer.
Between July 27 and September 11, 45 participants aged six and over, guided by a team of 13 members and seven volunteers, participated in activities such as surfing, sailing, paddleboarding, beach and pool activities, yoga, plastic arts, painting, cooking and sensory activities. Participants also visited places such as Aquashow, Krazy World, Piscinas Portas do Sol, Monchique Municipal Pool, Zoomarine and Herdade da Bonança.
Parents and family members consider that the project "makes the summer magical for all these special young people," with one mother highlighting that her son has been spending the summer at Teia D'Impulsos holidays for six years and "would not trade them for anything."
FICA is funded by the Municipality of Portimão and has the support of several entities, including the School Grouping Eng.º Nuno Mergulhão, André Mota – Photography and Video, Aquashow Park Hotel, Villa Prana Studio, Piscinas Portas do Sol, Santa Casa Misericórdia de Alvor, Municipality of Monchique, Surf Cura, Transol, Krazy World Zoo, Espiral de Vontades, Zoomarine and Herdade da Bonança.
