PCP announced a proposal for an interim increase in pensions of 50 euros. This measure is part of a set of initiatives that the party intends to advance in the Assembly of the Republic.
The party also proposes that the national minimum wage reach 1100 euros. This wage increase represents one of PCP's main claims within its economic proposals.
Paula Santos, a PCP leader, stated that the party will also propose setting the price of cooking gas at 20 euros. This measure aims to protect the most vulnerable families from high energy costs.
PCP's proposals arise in the context of debate on social and economic policies in Portugal, with the party defending a significant reinforcement of support for Portuguese families.
