One year after the death of a young Ukrainian woman known as 'Vika', the Public Prosecutor decided to reopen the investigation into the case. The young woman's body was found in the Tagus river.
Vika's mother pointed out flaws in the initial investigation of the case. The mother expressed doubts about the progress of the proceedings and requested a reanalysis of the facts.
The Public Prosecutor agreed with the mother's allegations and ordered the reopening of the case. One of the measures ordered was the analysis of the young Ukrainian woman's phone.
The reopening of the case comes one year after the discovery of Vika's body in the waters of the Tagus, reopening questions about the circumstances of her death.
