The more than 600 students from the municipality of Lisbon who were without school places have already been placed in educational establishments. The solution found to solve the problem was increasing the number of students per class.
The Minister of Education guarantees that the number of students per class will not exceed 30, which is the established legal limit. This was the main measure adopted to accommodate all students without a place.
There is pressure to resolve the situation, but the use of hiring modular units is another option that has been adopted as an alternative to ensure places for students. This temporary solution allows for creating additional space without the need to increase existing classes.
