The Association Housing and Development For Portugal (AHDPP) was publicly presented today, marking the entry of a new actor in the housing sector in Portugal. The association emerges with the objective of addressing the country's housing problems, directing its proposals mainly at the middle class.
The organization has affordable renting as its central focus, seeking to create solutions that allow this segment of the population to have access to decent housing at controlled costs. The proposed model is based on collaboration between private investors and municipalities to revitalize the sector.
AHDPP also intends to scale up new construction and the rehabilitation of vacant properties, meaning buildings or houses that are empty and unused. To this end, the association believes that partnership between the public and private sectors is essential to achieve significant results in this area.
