A 65-year-old woman was seriously injured following a pedestrian accident on Avenida do Regimento de Infantaria 13, in Vila Real. The accident happened when the woman was crossing a pedestrian crossing.
An ambulance was dispatched to the scene and provided assistance to the victim. The vehicle driver remained at the scene after the accident, contrary to what the title might suggest.
The victim was later transported to Vila Real Hospital, where she was admitted to the emergency department to receive medical treatment.
