The former Palace of Justice in Beja, which is currently deactivated, should house the city's Administrative and Tax Court at the beginning of 2027.
The information was announced today by the Minister of Justice, who indicated that the move depends on prior small adaptation works in the building.
The Administrative and Tax Court is a judicial body responsible for resolving disputes related to administrative and fiscal issues, including disputes between citizens and public entities.
Beja is a city in the interior of the Alentejo region, in southern Portugal, and the change represents a new use for the historic Palace of Justice building.
