Several security operations are underway in the interior and coastal zone of Macomia, in Mozambique, to contain terrorist groups approaching local populations. Security forces continue to act to neutralize threats in these areas.
Two suspected terrorists were killed in clashes during these operations. Additionally, other terrorists were injured during confrontations with security forces.
The operations aim to contain the advance of armed groups that have threatened local communities in the Macomia region, both in the coastal zone and in the interior.
