Rock in Rio 2026 brought together over 700 thousand people over seven days at the City of Rock, with an average of around 100 thousand people daily. The audience came from 89 different countries, with 49% of spectators coming from outside Rio de Janeiro, demonstrating the international reach of the festival.
The event featured 190 shows and over 1,300 artists on the stages. Sales increased 50% compared to the previous edition, indicating the commercial success of the festival.
The economic impact generated by Rock in Rio 2026 was R$ 3.36 billion for Rio de Janeiro, encompassing both the officially allocated funds for the event as well as the specific results of the brands with stands present at the venue.
In terms of infrastructure, around 300 thousand passengers used BRT Expresso and another 240 thousand boardings were recorded at metro stations during the festival. The organization also highlighted that 40 tons of materials were collected daily at the City of Rock.
