Albuquerque highlights economic growth and targets IRC at 12.6%
Miguel Albuquerque highlighted, this Tuesday, the "64 consecutive months of economic growth" in Madeira and again announced the intention to continue reducing IRC, now pointing to a rate of 12.6%, even though in July he had pointed to 12.3%, when he projected a 1% decrease, following the reduction announced by Lisbon. At the opening of the PSD/Madeira Parliamentary Sessions, the party leader and president of the Regional Government stated that the regional economy is growing. The IRC in Madeira is currently 13%. Albuquerque announced his intention to reduce it to 12.6%, which represents a change from the 12.3% he had pointed to in July, when he projected a 1% decrease following the reduction announced by the Lisbon government. This change comes in the context of the PSD/Madeira Parliamentary Sessions, where Albuquerque reaffirmed the party's commitment to fiscal reduction and the region's economic growth.
