Asus announced the launch of its first routers compatible with Wi-Fi 8 technology, marking the brand's entry into the new wireless connectivity standard. The ROG Rapture GT-BN98 model is already available in Canadian stores and is expected to reach the Portuguese market in October.
In addition to the top-of-the-line router, the Taiwanese brand is also preparing the launch of the ZenWiFi BN12, which will be the world's first mesh system compatible with Wi-Fi 8. This mesh system is intended for users who need extensive Wi-Fi coverage in their homes or workplaces.
Wi-Fi 8 represents the new generation of the IEEE 802.11 standard, succeeding Wi-Fi 7, and promises significant improvements in terms of efficiency, latency, and overall wireless connection performance. The arrival of these devices in the European market is expected in the coming months, with Portugal being one of the first countries to receive the new products.
