North Korea expressed "unwavering" support for Russia in its war against Ukraine, describing the conflict as a "sacred war." North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was the voice of this promise through a written message.
In his statement, Kim Jong Un affirmed that his will and that of the Government of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea are "firm" and that they wish to "expand and comprehensively deepen joint work with the Russian Federation."
This support comes in the context of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which has lasted more than two years. North Korea has frequently been associated with the Russian position on the international stage, aligning itself with Moscow on various diplomatic issues.
Kim Jong Un's promise represents a reinforcement of the alliance between the two countries, suggesting deeper cooperation in multiple areas. This alignment of North Korea with Russia occurs at a time of ongoing tensions in the European conflict.
