Mareé, artistic name of Marcelly Garcia, daughter of singer MC Marcinho, revealed on social media that she was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder at 18. In an account shared online, she said her fight against mental health issues began in childhood, when she suffered bullying and developed an eating disorder.
During adolescence, Marcelly Garcia faced depression and was hospitalized. She also reported having abused medications and, years later, started using drugs, a situation worsened by the suffering caused by her father's death in 2023.
In the text published on social media, Mareé stated she heard from some family members that she wouldn't have reasons to suffer, since her father had money and she had everything. According to her, this view minimized her mental health condition and ignored what she was going through.
