The secretary-general of the Federation of Public Administration Trade Unions (Fesap) considered that the remuneration base in public service should continue to be increased, arguing that it should go beyond 1,030 euros next year.
Fesap understands that, even if the minimum salary in the State rose to 1,030 euros in 2027, that value would be insufficient and would continue to be "insufficient" to meet the needs of public workers.
The union leader emphasized the importance of continuing to value salaries in public administration as a way to recognize the work of civil servants and guarantee dignified conditions.
This position comes in the context of salary negotiations between public sector trade unions and the government, with Fesap pressing for increases that go beyond the growth of the national minimum salary.
