Starting today, heavy vehicles with no destination to Porto or Vila Nova de Gaia are prohibited from circulating on VCI (Inner Beltway). This restriction applies to heavy goods vehicles and aims to reduce transit traffic on the road that crosses both cities.
Vertical signage has been installed at the VCI entry lanes to inform drivers of this prohibition. The signage clearly indicates the restrictions imposed on heavy vehicles.
Enforcement of this measure will be carried out by the PSP (Public Security Police) and the GNR (National Republican Guard), who will monitor compliance with the prohibition on VCI.
