The parliament will debate tomorrow, in the specialty phase, the extension of parental leave. The initial proposal, presented by a group of citizens, provides for six months of leave paid at 100%, with parents sharing more time between themselves.
The parties present divergent positions on the duration. PS proposes 150 days, PSD suggests 180 days but with restrictions, and Chega advocates 240 days. All parties submitted amendment proposals to the citizens' initiative.
The debate is scheduled for tomorrow in the Labor and Social Security Committee, where the various amendments presented by the parliamentary groups will be analyzed.
