The agriculture, forestry and fisheries sectors continue without viable alternatives to fossil fuels. Traction vehicles and agricultural machinery still depend mostly on these fuels, with the sector not yet having reached the point of ceasing to use them.
Although electrical and hybrid alternatives exist on the market, they are still in the prototype phase. The available technology has not yet advanced enough to efficiently and affordably replace traditional engines in these areas.
The article indicates that, despite innovation efforts, the energy transition in these specific sectors continues to face significant challenges, maintaining dependence on fossil fuels as the predominant energy source.
