Leandro Grass (PT) Opens Series of Interviews by GLOBO, Valor and CBN with Candidates for Governor of the Federal District This Tuesday

oglobo15 September 2026 at 07:30

Former district deputy Leandro Grass (PT) opens this Tuesday the series of interviews by O GLOBO, Valor and CBN Radio with candidates for the Government of the Federal District. The interview starts at 10:30 AM and will be broadcast live on the radio, on the newspapers' websites and on YouTube. On Wednesday it will be José Roberto Arruda's (PSD) turn, and Paula Belmonte (UBS) will be interviewed on Thursday.

The current governor of the Federal District, Celina Leão (PP), candidate for re-election, was supposed to be interviewed on Monday, but postponed her participation after her mother was hospitalized the night before the interview. A new date for her interview will still be rescheduled.

Each interview will last an hour and a half. The interviews will be conducted at CBN's studio and led by radio presenter Brunno Melo, columnist Fabio Graner and journalist Isador, completing the team of interviewers.

Why this matters

Residents of the Federal District have the opportunity to learn about the proposals and positions of the main candidates for local government through these live-broadcast interviews, which allow voters to compare the political views of the contenders before the elections. The postponement of the current governor's interview may also generate expectation about her future participation in the series.

Pentagon admits ammunition shortage due to war with Iran after Trump Administration denied lack of armaments

The Pentagon recently admitted that the United States faces a significant ammunition shortage in the context of the conflict with Iran, contradicting previous statements from the Trump Administration, which in early September had declared that the country had "practically unlimited quantities of ammunition." This revision of estimates raises questions about military planning and American strategic preparedness for prolonged conflicts in the Middle East.

Spain's Consulate Rejects Visa from Moroccan Woman Suspecting that Job Caring for Sheep Was Excuse to Emigrate; Understand

Spanish Justice annulled the decision of the General Consulate of Spain in Tétouan, which had denied a residence and work visa to a Moroccan woman, suspecting that the job offer as a shepherd in Pradejón was just an excuse to emigrate. The High Court of Justice of Madrid determined that the worker is entitled to the document, after she had already obtained initial authorization from the Subdelegation of the Government in Ávila, with a permanent contract, 40-hour workweek and salary according to collective agreement.
