A cold front that passed through Brazil in recent weeks left a cold air mass and an area of instability stationary over the center of the country. According to the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet), there are conditions for rain and isolated, concentrated, intense storms, mainly in Rio de Janeiro, southeastern Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, and São Paulo.
