President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva sanctioned this Monday the Move Brasil program, which provides up to 30 billion reais in credit lines for app drivers, delivery workers, taxi drivers and cooperatives to purchase new vehicles. The initiative is interpreted as an attempt to boost government popularity and convert management measures into votes.

The program allows financing cars of up to 200 thousand reais, including electric, hybrid, flex or ethanol-powered vehicles, in up to 84 installments. One of the significant changes is the reduction of the minimum time for prior registration of drivers on platforms, from 12 to six months.
