President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva sanctioned on Monday the law that makes Move Brasil permanent, a program that expands financing lines to help transport professionals renew their vehicles. The measure also brought news about who can join, the vehicles that can be purchased, and the forms of payment.
Move Brasil emerged through a Provisional Measure, aimed at taxi drivers and app-based drivers. The idea was to facilitate financing for new cars that met efficiency and sustainability criteria. The validity period of the Provisional Measure was set to end on August 15.
The program had already undergone changes in recent months, with the inclusion of semi-new vehicles in the portfolio, raising the financing cap from R$ 150,000 to R$ 200,000, and the payment term increasing to seven years.
One of the main announcements made on Monday concerns the benefited group. The law now includes school transport and cargo transport professionals. Additionally, the original bill provided that the program would be exclusively for individuals, but the new legislation expands this possibility to legal entities.
