The emergency meeting between Lisbon school principals and the Ministry of Education has concluded. The encounter was convened to resolve the problem of the lack of school places in the Portuguese capital.
As a result of the meeting, it was decided that classes will be expanded to accommodate students who had no place. This measure aims to ensure that all children and young people can attend the school year without interruptions.
The situation affects several schools in Lisbon, where the demand for school places has exceeded the available capacity. The educational authorities intend to thus find practical solutions to resolve the problem immediately.
