Caixa Econômica Federal employees rejected, in assemblies held last Friday (the 11th), the proposal presented by the bank for the renewal of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (ACT). With this, the strike, which began on the 10th, remains in effect indefinitely, informed the union representing the category.
The new proposal presented by Caixa — considered final — increased from 6.5% to 8% the cap on the bank's participation in funding Saúde Caixa. For active employees, the contribution was reduced to a range of 2.3% to 4.1%, according to age, and the charge per dependent ranged between R$ 480 and R$ 660.
The proposal also included advance payment of the 13th salary installment from Caixa in 2028, 2029 and 2030 with the aim of contributing to covering the Saúde Caixa deficit.
Among other changes, the proposal provides for payment of R$ 3,000 per employee, in recognition of the achievement of the IEO in June 2026, and payment of adjusted salary, PLR, Super Caixa and bonus, according to the terms of the agreement.
