The heads of the governments of Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate on the separation of the United Kingdom. The pact was called "Unstoppable change" and represents a joint effort by the three national governments to advance the breakup of the country.
The nationalist leaders intend to break away from London and reestablish sovereignty over their regions. The common goal is to recover lost independence and regain control over their own political and economic decisions.
Beyond the separation from London, the three governments expressed their intention to return to the European Union. This ambition reflects the desire to once again become part of the European bloc after Brexit led to the United Kingdom's exit.
