The Liberal Initiative (IL) did not take a position on the possible creation of an inquiry commission into the Education sector, refusing to comment on the possibility at this time.
IL also advanced an accusation of hypocrisy against the Socialist Party (PS), suggesting that the socialists are being inconsistent in their stance on this issue.
Mariana Leitão, a member of IL, stated that compulsory education "obviously must have places for students," recognizing the importance of guaranteeing spots for all students covered by mandatory schooling.
However, Mariana Leitão considered that this is not the appropriate time to "speculate about what happened," indicating that IL prefers to wait for more information before taking a definitive position on the matter.
