The president of the Supreme Federal Court, Edson Fachin, defined the procedure for Tuesday's trial regarding messages sent by former banker Daniel Vorcaro to Minister Alexandre de Moraes on the eve of the arrest of the former owner of Banco Master. The session will begin with the reading of the report on the case, to be made by the rapporteur, Edson Fachin, who will also make the "delimitation of the object of the trial," the Court indicated.
Next, space will be opened for any statement by the attorney general of Brazil, Paulo Gonet, and for "oral arguments," usually made by the lawyers of the parties. It is not yet known whether a lawyer may speak on behalf of Moraes or if the minister himself will make his defense before his colleagues on the STF.
After these statements, President Edson Fachin, in his capacity as rapporteur, will present his vote, which may include propositions about the case, such as the possible opening of an investigation into Moraes. Subsequently, the other ministers of the STF will vote on the matter.
