Pizzaiolo Danilo Jander Francisco Alves, 26, was shot in the head during a police approach on Saturday night in Icaraí, Niterói. The video obtained by GLOBO shows the final moments of the action. In the footage, the motorcyclist appears to slow down as he approaches a traffic jam while being followed by two military police officers on motorcycles.
In a span of just 5 seconds, one of the agents sprays a jet of pepper spray at Danilo and, immediately after, the other officer fires the shot that hits the young man. The victim falls alongside the motorcycle at the scene.
The Segurança Presente office reported that the officers set up a blockade against the motorcyclist after he disobeyed a stop order during patrol in Icaraí. According to the agency, during the approach, one of the agents fired the shot. Danilo's health condition is considered serious.
