Ibersol recorded losses of 54.78 thousand euros in the first six months of this year, a reversal from the profits of 1.6 million euros it had reported in the same period of 2025. However, the turnover of the northern restaurant group increased 5.4% to 260 million euros.
The turnover growth was driven by a 6% increase in restaurant sales, with positive contributions from the ten new KFC restaurants in Galicia, for which Ibersol paid six million euros. This growth was partially offset by a 1.6% decline resulting from the end of the former concession at Barcelona airport, in May, and the start of the new one.
At the unit level, the group had a total of 556 spaces at the end of the first half, having opened 14 new restaurants and closed 20 during this period. Operating costs increased by 4.6%, reaching 251.1 million euros, which allowed Ibersol to see its operating results improve by 32.5%, going from 6.7 million to 8.9 million euros.
