Ibersol, a Portuguese fast food restaurant operator, recorded a significant change in its financial results in the first half. The company went from a profit of 1.6 million euros in the same period the previous year to a loss of 40,000 euros.
This deterioration in results was mainly due to a decline in operating profitability. The company's operating margin fell to 22.7%, reflecting the difficulties faced by the quick service restaurant sector during this period.
The negative performance contrasts with the positive result achieved in the first half of the previous year, when the company managed to profit more than one and a half million euros. This reversal of situation highlights the challenges Ibersol has faced in maintaining its profitability.
