The International Organization for Migration (IOM) issued today an alert about the imminent possibility of the exhaustion of emergency humanitarian aid for Sudan, if immediate support is not provided by donors.
According to the United Nations organization, emergency aid could be completely exhausted within a period of 15 days, potentially by the end of September.
The IOM highlighted the urgent need for intervention by international donors to avoid the interruption of humanitarian programs in the African country.
The alert comes in the context of a prolonged humanitarian crisis in Sudan, where millions of people depend on international assistance to survive.
