The National Federation of Education (FNE) warned of a crisis in teacher replacement in Portugal. The organization emphasized that there is a significant shortage of graduates in the field of education, which poses serious challenges to the Portuguese education system.
FNE highlights that strategic planning extending until 2035 is necessary to address this issue. This warning comes at a time when the country faces difficulties in attracting and retaining professionals for teaching.
The organization also draws attention to the need for policies that make the teaching profession more attractive, in order to ensure the quality of education and the continuity of the educational system in Portugal.
