Artificial intelligence can be a useful tool for finding, understanding and eliminating PFAS, commonly known as "everlasting chemicals", as well as other dangerous chemical substances. The technology allows for identifying and analyzing these compounds more efficiently.
However, the accelerated growth of the artificial intelligence industry itself is simultaneously increasing the use and production of these everlasting chemicals. This situation creates a paradox in which the technological solution contributes to the problem.
PFAS are substances harmful to both the environment and human health. Their designation as "everlasting chemicals" is due to the fact that they are extremely persistent in the environment, not degrading easily over time.
