Botafogo's board has a meeting scheduled with Tite this Monday night to start conversations and understand the possibility of the coach taking over the team for this final stretch of the season. The idea is to present the alvinegro project and the club's current conditions to the coach. The Gaucho commander, in turn, showed himself open to hearing what the Botafogo leadership has to say.
Without a club since March, Tite is not expected to start negotiations already this Monday. The step by step process requires that the coach give the green light to Botafogo, which would subsequently negotiate values with Gilmar Veloz, the coach's agent.
Behind the scenes at Botafogo, those participating in the conversations about the arrival of a new coach are president João Paulo Magalhães Lins, vice president André Silva, football director Léo Coelho and other professionals from the scouting department.
The board members did speak with other coaches, some foreigners, but received rejections. There are difficulties in finding professionals willing to take command of the team.
