Pedro Muffato, at 86 years old, proved once again that he has no interest in resting. The Brazilian motorsport legend started from the last position, 19th, in a Formula Truck race and managed an impressive recovery to finish in second place. The feat was achieved with a number 50 GT-type truck, a borrowed vehicle that Muffato used to return to the tracks.
Muffato had already written his name in Formula Truck history by winning the competition title in 2023. The following year, in 2024, he continued competing and finished as runner-up, demonstrating that age was no obstacle to his competitive performance. The expectation was that his career would come to an end in Cascavel, his hometown, where he officially announced his retirement during the 2025 race.
However, barely a year after his farewell to the tracks, Muffato decided to return. The driver first positioned himself as a commentator for the main stages of the competition, but the desire to compete spoke louder.
