The National Authority for Emergency and Civil Protection issued today an alert to the population regarding the weather forecast that favors the occurrence of rural fires. The warning is due to the continuation of hot and dry weather, accompanied by an increase in wind intensity.
The forecast weather conditions will cause a worsening of the fire danger in several regions of the country. These conditions are favorable to the rapid spread of rural fires, making the situation particularly concerning.
The ANEPC alert also emphasizes that an increase in difficulty for fire suppression actions is expected. This situation particularly affects the regions most impacted by the adverse weather conditions, where firefighting resources may face more obstacles in controlling the flames.
