Flamengo launched this Monday a mobilization campaign for the construction works of a mini-stadium within Ninho do Urubu, the club's training center in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro. The works have already begun and, according to the club, represent another step in the evolution of the CT's structure.
The space will be dedicated to hosting matches of the under-20 categories and women's football of the red-and-black team. The idea is also to open more spaces for fans to attend these matches at Ninho do Urubu, allowing supporters to watch youth category and women's football matches at the training location itself.
The project was initiated during the previous management under Rodolfo Landim and advanced under the command of current president Luiz Eduardo Baptista, known as Bap. According to what Bap himself stated about two months ago, the mini-stadium will have a capacity for about 4,500 people.
The forecast is that the works will be completed in the second half of 2027.
