The big highlight of the update was Ben Shelton, who despite the final loss, climbed five positions in the ranking. At 23 years old, the American went from ninth to fourth place, achieving his best placement as a professional tennis player. Spanish Carlos Alcaraz completes the top 3.
Another significant change was Novak Djokovic's fall outside the top 10 for the first time in eight years. The Serbian, eliminated in the first round of the US Open by Argentine Mariano Navone, now occupies 12th position in the ATP ranking.
