The Portuguese Olympic Committee delivered more than 4.8 million euros in support of women's sport and sports facilities. The amount was made available through a sports development program contract, which aims to strengthen the structures and initiatives directed at the sector.
The program covers two main areas of intervention: direct support to women's sport and financing for the improvement and construction of sports facilities. This initiative represents a significant investment in promoting access to sports practice and in valuing female athletes in Portugal.
The COP, as the entity responsible for coordinating the national Olympic movement, thus assumes an active role in transforming the Portuguese sports landscape, allocating substantial resources for these specific purposes.
