The Nãm company invested around one million euros in the construction of a new mushroom factory in Odivelas. The production unit represents a significant reinforcement in the company's industrial capacity, allowing production to increase to 150 annual tonnes of mushrooms.
The particularity of this factory lies in the production process, which transforms coffee grounds into mushrooms. This approach represents a circular economy model, reusing a common waste product to create a food product.
The new industrial unit operates with solar energy for self-consumption, demonstrating a commitment to energy sustainability. The factory should create 20 direct jobs in the Odivelas region.
