Lula leads Quaest first-round poll with 36%, but Flavío Bolsonaro reduces the gap and appears with 31%

Three weeks before the elections, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) leads the first-round simulation with 36% of voting intentions, according to a Quaest poll commissioned by newspaper O GLOBO and TV Globo, released this Monday. Senator Flavío Bolsonaro (PL) appears in second place with 31%, reducing the distance from the previous survey, when he had 29%. Candidate Augusto Cury (Avante) dropped from 8% to 7%.

The poll also showed that, for the first time during the campaign, Flavío Bolsonaro appears numerically ahead of Lula in the second round. The margin of error is 2 percentage points. Concern about corruption advanced for the second consecutive Quaest poll, following a crisis at the Supreme Federal Court and the Master case.
