The transfer of competencies from Municipalities to Parishes aims to reinforce local functions in areas such as urban maintenance and public space management, ensuring greater proximity and efficiency in the execution of daily tasks. Parishes now assume operational competencies proportionally to their size, including the management of green spaces, maintenance of urban furniture and current management of fairs and markets.
The Parish of Ericeira received a total amount of 913,677.77 euros for the exercise of transferred competencies. This amount is divided into 777,600.00 euros for green spaces, 106,023.53 euros for roads and public spaces, and 30,054.24 euros for the maintenance and repair of urban furniture.
The list of roads and public spaces includes 458 items, with investments ranging from 14.28 euros to 4,790.93 euros. Among the roads with investments exceeding one thousand euros are the Northern Variant of Ericeira with 4,790.93 euros, Avenida de São Sebastião with 1,854.93 euros, and Estrada Nacional 116 with 1,847.19 euros.
Regarding green spaces, values range from 8.64 euros to 114,315.84 euros. Parque de Santa Marta has the highest investment, receiving 114,315.84 euros, followed by Parque de Campismo da Ericeira with 80,619.84 euros and Urbano São Sebastião with 42,784.24 euros. In addition to the municipal transfers, the Parish of Ericeira also received from the State Budget, in 2026, an amount of 839,844.90 euros.
