The Portuguese government authorized the renewal of the video surveillance system in Bairro Alto, in Lisbon. The authorization was granted for an additional period of three years.
The system currently in operation is composed of 27 surveillance cameras. The renewal allows the continuity of surveillance in the Lisbon neighborhood.
Bairro Alto is an area known for its nightlife and constant activity, which justifies the need for surveillance in this area of the Portuguese capital.
