The Socialist Party considered Fernando Alexandre as the "worst Education Minister since April 25th", through an attack from its parliamentary leader, who severely criticized the way the Government has responded to the situation of hundreds of students without placement in public education.
The Socialist parliamentary leader accused the Education Minister of not taking responsibility for this situation, being particularly critical of the management of the student placement process in public schools.
The reference to the existence of hundreds of students without placement in public education constitutes the core of the PS's accusation against the Government, suggesting a serious failure in the organization and planning of the education system during Fernando Alexandre's term.
The Socialist Party also left a warning to the minister, stating that "at some point he will have to take responsibility" for the decisions made and the problems currently faced in the education sector in Portugal.
