Humberto Gomez and Laureen Teixeira are the first national SkySpeed champions in history. The first edition of this event took place on Sunday morning, September 13th, at the Funchal Ecological Park.

The competition consisted of a course with 300 meters in length and 100 meters of elevation gain in continuous ascent, defined on a slope of the Cales stream valley. The event took place in a format with two ascents.

The event was organized by the Madeira Adventure Club, which determined through this competition the national champions of SkySpeed skyrunning.
